Lesson Rates

Private lessons are billed at a rate of $70 per hour.
Shorter lesson lengths may be prorated accordingly:
- 30 minutes: $35
- 45 minutes: $52.50
- 60 minutes: $70

Scheduling

Lessons are scheduled on a weekly recurring basis.
Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared with all required materials.
Lessons starting late due to student tardiness will still conclude at the scheduled time.

Attendance

Consistent attendance is important for student progress. Students are encouraged to attend all scheduled lessons regularly.

Cancellation & Makeup Policy

Student Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are considered forfeited and are not eligible for makeup lessons or refunds.
No-shows are charged in full.

Makeup Lessons

Makeup lessons are offered only for cancellations made with proper notice.

Teacher Cancellations

If the instructor must cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be provided.
In the event of emergencies or severe weather, online lessons may be offered instead of in-person lessons where possible.

Payment Policy

Fees

Fees are based on scheduled lesson time at a rate of $70 per hour.
Payment reserves the student’s scheduled lesson time and covers lesson planning, administration, and instruction time.

Payment Due Date

Payments are due at the 1st lesson of each month unless otherwise arranged.

Accepted Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods may include:

Cash

Missed Payments

Lessons may be suspended if payment is not received within a reasonable timeframe.
Repeated late payments may result in dismissal from the studio schedule.

Refund Policy

Payments are non-refundable.
Refunds are not provided for missed or unused lessons.
In exceptional circumstances, credits may be considered at the instructor’s discretion.

Practice Expectations

Students are expected to practice consistently between lessons.
Progress depends heavily on regular practice and participation.
Parents of younger students are encouraged to support practice routines at home.

Communication Policy

Studio communication will primarily occur through email and/or text messaging.
Important scheduling changes should be communicated as early as possible.

Health & Safety

Students who are ill are asked to stay home and may request an online lesson where available.
Respectful behaviour is expected at all times within the studio space.

Termination of Lessons

Either the instructor or student may discontinue lessons with written notice (typically 2–4 weeks recommended).

Acknowledgment

By enrolling in lessons, students and/or parents acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these studio policies.
